Mandy has a background in teaching (Math, English and Ed Tech), and is passionate about learning. She loves to be creative, whether it be trying out new recipes for her family, doing crafts with her daughter, or creating homemade toys. Mandy loves to travel – both afar, and closer to home. Her favorite weekends are spent exploring local events with her family. Mandy has a passion for writing. Near the end of her pregnancy she started a blog called Love you to the Moon. It started as a way to get back into writing and document her journey, but now she is excited to expand on that, and connect with other Moms in the community.

Kate Zealand is a local Victoriaite with a passion for writing and being creative. Her love of blogging was born during a six month trek through Costa Rica. She’s also chipping away at a certificate in web design; her other goals include reading more, traveling more, and sleeping more. When Zoe isn’t brainstorming her next DIY project or daydreaming about summer, you can find her experimenting with delicious recipes, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying this beautiful island she calls home with her kids and wonderful husband. Erika feels extremely lucky to work from home as a Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle writer so she can spend plenty of time with her ‘mini-me’. In the three years since her daughter was born she has carved herself into somewhat of a domestic goddess – embracing cooking, baking, organizing, gardening, and home improvement projects. She enjoys exploring the hidden gems of Victoria with her family and friends, and loves the fact that the city has a great mix of new places and things to try, along with old favorites that keep her coming back. Shopping for just about anything is her favorite ‘sport’, and she believes most problems can be made better with chocolate and a good cup of tea.
Born & raised in Victoria, Lauren is a step-mom of two and is mom of one who was born in February 2017. Having grown up in a split family herself, Lauren offers a unique perspective to the Victoria Moms Blog as she helps to raise two step-children from two different relationships. Step-parenting is a challenge and Lauren has seen it from both sides – as the child and as the step-parent. Just don’t ask her for any tips on dogs.

Ashley runs the social media presence for several organizations and shares her life journey on her own blog The Confessions of a Working Mum. Tanya moved to Victoria 5 years ago and has never looked back. Excited to raise a family here, her and her husband had their first child in 2014. Traveling and experiencing new cultures is a lifelong endeavour of hers, and one she has already started sharing with her little one. Although far away places are a draw to her, she feels very lucky to live in Victoria where her and her family can be active outdoors year round, and are no strangers to piling 2 adults, the 2 year old and the 80 lb Sheppard/Lab cross into a canoe for an afternoon paddle. After leaving over 20 years in Emergency Medical Services employment behind in Alberta, she now spends most of her time toddler taming and teaching advanced care/resuscitation courses on the side here in BC. She continues to look to other mothers for guidance, and now aspires to return the favor by sharing her experiences as she navigates this latest career of motherhood.
