Recycle That Tree

With the holidays over for the year, those in and around the Victoria area who went all out with a real Christmas tree can recycle it at a number of locations. There are many environmental perks to having a real, locally grown Christmas Tree (not to mention the smell!) but unfortunately not every Christmas tree is accepted for recycling, so make sure your tree qualifies before scoping out recycling locations.

Does Your Tree Qualify?Recycle Tree

  • Is your tree real?
  • Are ornaments, tinsel, and decorations removed?
  • Is your tree free of lights, nails, screws and its stand?
  • Is your tree green? (flocking-free/non-flocked)?
  • If you answered YES to all of these questions, congratulations! You can official recycle your tree. See below for options in your area.
